is that a go? yes? sounds good? with a Jazz Bass or what i'm thinking of playing for a project here is...a Squier CV 60's P Bass with flat wounds...it's heavy hard music and kinda cartoony in a way...with over drive and Big Muff...will flats sound good like that? or rounds? i'm hoping flats will be killier...but if you guys think not, i'll consider rounds...
oh...any good examples of flats with fuzz/over drive? any recordings or bands you can refer me to for examples of this kinda sound? |

| | | | The new Fender 9050CL set 45-60-80-105 has great playability and consistency, are rather inexpensive, and growl nicely. I use them, and I think they sound great. Since flats by their nature have a little less high end to them, IMO they drive fx better so the character of the fx comes through and not just an overload of high end fizzy. |

Did you listen to the link I attached? That is a great bass tone. To each their own, but I could almost guarantee Harris has used fuzz from time to time.
