Flats with dark green silks?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey was wondering if anyone knows of a flat that comes with dark green silks on the ends? U see, I saw a picture of Bill Wyman from 1981 playing his Travis Bean bass and the strings had green silks at the tuners. Thanks.

May have been Fender. Fender 850's the stock set on new Fender basses until about 1982 had a green silk winding.

I have some new old stock Sound City flats from the 70's, made in England of course. May be them?

They sound like Fender Flats to me. Mine only have the silk at the bridge. I really like them, I just wish stores would carry them.
