ROTOSOUND!!! I put Fender flats on my bas and I loved the slick feel of the strings and loved the thumpy tone. But when I left my home amp and played at church, I got drowned out by the drums and organ, something that never happened before!

I'm going back to rotosounds so I can be heard, and so I can pop and slap!

so why didn't you take the time to adjust knobs on your amp if you took all the time that it requires to change strings?

I'm not a fan of flatwounds either. Maybe If I ever get another bass, I'll put some flats on it. Then I'll have a choice.

I didn't have time to. I'm so use to just plugging in and playing, I forgot I had different strings and once the chior starts, I can't stop. They are known to praise for a whole hour straight!

I was just so disappointed I didn't even want to adjust anything. The rig at the church is huge too, but with the flats, the chior and organ were killing me, something that would have never happened with my rotosounds! I was just an indistinguishable rumble!

Pretty standard. Rounds have lots of punch and presence, which you miss when its gone.
