I had a set of Chromes on my Geddy Jazz bass for a month or so; They're great strings, but something about them just didn't sit right with that bass.
SO...I put Slinkys back on the Geddy, slapped the Chromes on my other Jazz bass (on which I'm going to see if I can't break Phil Chen's record) and all is right with the world.

(FWIW the Chromes are working out pretty well for me on my Nash J-bass so far.)

I have chromes on my '09 P-Bass and '08 Jazz. Both have rosewood finger boards and I'm in love with the Chromes.
My 50's P Classic has a maple fretboard, and I have nickel roundwounds on that one. Chromes weren't giving me the same love on that bass!

I went from DR Sunbeams to Chromes ... love the Sunbeams, the Chromes didn't do it for me ... But TI flats DO! ... No Geddy Lee signature on this one though, 73 was a little before they did that IIRC. |
