There are many established brands with the old style thump already (GHS, LaBella, Fender, Dean Markley, come to mind), while newer ones tend to be brighter (Chromes), growlier (Sadowskys), for example.
Then you have the odd situation where a new flat from a company known for its bright and growly strings comes up with an old style flat, namely DR. Look how those are flying off the shelves. Not. |
