I love my TI flats on my pbass, and just got my pedulla mvp-5
4 days ago and am thinking about putting TI's on it. How does a modern soundings 5er sound with flats?

I tried Chromes on my new Lakland 55-02. I have Chromes on a couple other passive 4 string basses.

The Chromes just didn't do it for me. I really wanted to like them since I really love them on my passive Jazz bass. I went back to Sunbeams on the Lakland. I really like the nickel of the Sunbeams. Very warm compared to SS rounds to my ears.

I have TI Jazz Flats on both of my Spectors with EMGs and 2 band Pre -
love em and get zero complaints from the band members.

I also have a set of LaBellas on a ATK300 and it RIPS - deep thump in single coil mode and true deep clear tone in humbucker mode.

I really like flats on more modern sounding instruments. Gives it a more "classic" sound but many more options

Try the new Fender flats. They are steel, not chrome, and they have superior tone, feel, and balance.
