Do flats have less distinct pitch or am I crazy? I just restrung my Fretless P (Tony Frankin

) with RotoSound 88's and hitting the right note isn't as easy as it was with the stock strings. I've been using the 88's on my Squier fretless and did notice some intonation problems as well. Mostly on the E, which is a .115, if that matters.
I like the feel of flats and want a nice warm, round tone, but I need to hit the right note. Is it the strings or my ears?
