Flats and Punk

Just wondering if anyone plays in a punk/rock band and uses flats? I played a 60s P with flats yesterday and loved the 'thunk' you get from the strings.
Also who makes descent flats?

Hmm, sounds like it'd be a cool tone. Less trebley and more thump, would probably rock pretty hard. I don't play flats, but I've played Fender 9150's and they're pretty high tension, moderately bright flats. There are also Thomastik-Infeld Jazz Flats, which are the other side of the spectrum with extremely low tension. I'd say the Fenders would be better for punk, considering their high tension for hard plucking and relatively low price (good in case you don't like them!).
