Flats for Sadowsky P/J

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a Sadowsky Metro P/J with a maple board. Right now it is strung with Sadowsky SS rounds.
I was thinking about trying flats on it for a more vintage vibe, or maybe nickels to make it a little less aggressive.
I have put DR low Beams on my 4-94 and the jury is still out, so looking for any experiences, good or bad.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

Sadowsky flats!

I've never heard them on a Sad, but I would bet they sound killer. Beautiful traditional Labella style flats with some extra bite, growl, and a little less thump. I've had a set on my passive Jazz for two years now and I swear they sound better than ever.

Baird6869 has them on his Sad J.

I don't see why they wouldn't kill on a PJ. (Walter Becker uses flats on his Sadowsky, as well)

TI-flats.
They sound great with a bridge Jazz pickup.
