Flats on SRX300???

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm thinking of putting flats on my Ibanez SRX300. I'm going for more of a "boom" sound with it so I could use it for rock to country. Thoughts?

Why not? Give it a go, there's no rule against it.

Seriously. It's just a set of strings.

I have Fender 9050ML on my SR700 and love them. I was able to lower my action a good bit from the extra tension. It needed a little turn of the truss rod the next day, but all has been good since.

I usually take my basses for a set up periodically so maybe I'll throw a set on next time, so its set up well from the start, just hope I like them or it'll be going back to another set up to go back to my normal rounds...
