Flats or Tapes for a Dean Pace

Sign in to disble this ad
Looks like I may end up with a Dean Pace bass. I know it is not a true EUB and cannot be bowed but I would like to get a pretty good sound. I have tapewounds on a ABG which sounds pretty good but also like the flats on my hollowbody.

Any suggestions?

suggestion: for the same money, buy a bass guitar that you want. i acquired a dean pace, and i've hardly ever played it. not to say that you can't get a good sound out of it...but i think i can get a better sound out of my fretless.

that aside, i'd get flats. tapes on that bass (i think) would sound very muddy.
