TI Flats. You'll spend a month learning to play really softly just to avoid buzz.

Great sounding strings and feel good too. I love and hate them. Love what I already stated, hate how they fart out when you dig in. I don't want high action so i took them off.

Don't know but they are a step more conventional and yet they still have sustain and they also have a more even to the set E string.

I like them.

How do TI compare to chromes? I put my first set of flats on my bass recently. I put some lighter gauge chromes thinking the lighter gauge would give it less tension. These strings are stiff! Anybody here try both the Chromes and TIs?

I've only tried chromez
they're like steel telephone pole cables.
they are tough to play.
wierd grey coating takes a few days to come off too.

I like Fender 9050ML's but they are not lite tension strings. I have a new set of TI's that were on my bass for less than a week ( I like more tension than the TI's) so if you want a set of TI's I'll trade you for a new set of 9050Ml's

Had both TIs and the lightest GHS set.

TIs provide a more sophisticated sound while the GHS have more thump to them (means they sound more oldschool than the TIs)

Whatever you like. I like both, but currently have the GHS on. Both are comparable in tension, which is very low.

Are you using the GHS 40-95's? How do the D & G strings sound on this light string set?

GHS Precision flats have a nice comfortable flexibility to them. They have a round core. I use the Lakland Joe Osborn set which are really GHS 45-128. They feel great, but not as flexible as TI's.

Very happy w/ the tension on TI flats compared to the others Ive tried... w/ Rotosounds being the next best imo- Labellas the worst. I just bought some chromes to try and from what Ive read here Im already skeptical

I love the chromes on my fretless warwick, the tension seems relatively light compared to the flats I had before.

Lakland Joe Osborn flats have more high end that TI Jazz Flats, feel a bit less smooth and have tension that's closer to standard roundwound tension. I had no trouble adapting touchwise to TIs, but I did have to raise the G & D saddles to compensate for the low tension and buzz. I haven't recorded with JOs, but I just did a CD using two-year-old TIs on my Lakland 55-94 and they sound fabulous.

TI flats got my vote. I havent had a buzz problem or digging in or any problem for that matter. the tension is low-yep ..they are very good strings . thing is ,everyone likes what they like ,so you probably just need to try different things untill one jumps out at you. but by looking at your signiture i think you already know that.
