Flatwound Choice, sound and tension ?

Hello
I play with Fender Roundwound (45, 65, 85, 105) and i want to try Flatwound but what 's the best choice for me considering the gauge to have the same tension as the roundwound. I'm thinking about THOMASTIK JF324 : Gauges 043-056-070-106
It seem very closed to my Fender roundwound in term of gauge and sound ?
I play a passiv Jazz
Help me please for my choice

Pretty sure the TIs will have less tension.

I'd maybe try a medium gauge set of Chromes.

+1 on medium gauge chromes.
i started with the light gauge, but i really liked having a bit thicker E string. (.105 IIRC)
so far they are my favorite flats and thats pretty much all i use.
although i am starting to venture into half rounds, we will see.
IMO, stay away from Fender flats, they are very very high tension IME.
i tried chromes first, then got a set of Fender flats and i hated them.

I tried Fender flats as my first set of Flats... and yeah, they're high tension. I was just playing a medium set, but I have never played a set with a higher tension than those.

I figure even the Jamerson set has less tension than medium Fenders lol. Well, maybe not.

The new Fender 9050L's are not bad tension wise at all.

The 32" scale will work on a 34" scale if you string through body but it's close. They do have slightly more tension than the 34" scale. I would suggest just going to the 34" scale. They are not scary low tension. They would be close to a extra light set of Fender rounds.

Chromes are great flats. IMO they will be slightly higher tension than the Fender rounds you are currently using. Are you trying to match gauge or tension?
