Flatwound Extra Long Scale Heavy Gauges

Sign in to disble this ad
I didn't find this question in the forum. I need extra long scale flatwounds and prefer a .105 for my E. I use the D'Addario Chrome flatwounds for my Carvin, but I have an Ovation Magnum which needs the longer scale. I like the Chromes, but it looks like they don't make a long scale version.

Any suggestions? BTW, I prefer a nice low-end sound, so I try to stay away from bright strings, hence the flatwounds. Thanks.

Thanks on the GHS recommendation. On a whim I tried the La Bella Deep Talkin' Bass XL flatwounds. I'm a dub kinda guy, and I do like these. The thing that got me was the .109 E string. I haven't played that heavy, but I thought I'd give it a look.
