Flatwound Identification - HELP

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello:
I ended up with a bass that has a new set of flatwounds on it. I am not familiar with them, although I do like the set. Does anyone know who makes these (photo below)? The silk windings are a bright green, maybe even a little blue-green. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Greg

Looks like Fender flatwounds, they have greem silk on the ends.

To all that replied, I really appreciate it.

In the past, I have used the D' Addario chromes, TI flats, LaBella tapewounds and Sadowsky flats, but never a set of Fenders. I am really enjoying these particular strings, both in terms of sound and feel. I may have to get another set if these ever happen to wear out.

Thanks again.

Fender, and you may never need another set. Thump city, and they will just get thumpier as they age.

Well, it is unanimous and I do thank you all for the help.

It is a good thing to be able to buy a set of bass strings that costs less than $20.00 and lasts indefinitely. A really good thing...

The Fender flats will also not have a silk at the top, or at least they didn't the last time I bought a set...
