Does anyone make a decent flatwound for an acoustic bass?

I have the ghs ''brite flats'' on my acoustic bass,
I really like them, they accentuate the wooden sound, rather short sustain, less finger noise. You get less volume than with roundwounds but I amp myself whenever I'm playing with someone else anyway.

I also use electric flatwounds on my el cheapo acoustic. They are definitely lower in volume, not that the rounds made much volume on this bass. No string tension issues to date, and they have been on there for 6 months or. Not sure what kind I put on there... it was on old set I had laying around.

I have D'addario Chromes on my Ovation-style AE-40. Sounds great.

I tried a set of Chromes, I love them on my other basses. On the acoustic for some reason they feel like they have more tension. I was also considering tape wounds or possibly the nanowebs.

I use TI flats on a Godin A4 fretless. My favourite string to date on that bass.

I played a short scale fretless acoustic (I think it was Ovation) that was strung with Dean Markley flats and it was pretty cool.

I just threw some Chromes on my MK. Very happy with the results.
