I am getting alot of clicking when playing fingerstyle. I usually play pretty aggressive. Would they sound alright in drop d. Do any metal bass players use flats other the Steve Harris. Thanks

From my experience, flatwounds reduce clicking greatly. You could also cut the treble and mid-range, and boost the bass.
