Flatwounds with a Cliff Burton-like sound?

I'm looking for flatwound strings for my Epiphone Thunderbird, that have a sound similar to that of Cliff Burton on the first two Metallica albums, but are also able to play more mellow stuff, like The Beatles. Any brand/model suggestions?

I found D'addario chromes 40-95's GREAT far more responsive to some other more expensive ones.

Thanks, how do they compare to Rotosounds? In terms of brands I'm torn between those two.

IMHO-Only I found 'em far easier to play, more responsive & better for versatility than Roto's. YMMV of course.
