Flatwounds with more sustain?

Sign in to disble this ad
The flats I have now for my (cheap) fretless right now have hardly any sustain at all.

Can anyone recommend a set of bright sounding Flats with quite alot of sustain, perhaps a bit less "mwah"?

Hmmm La Bella Flatwounds are great. Even Stanley Clarke reccomends and endorses La Bella Flatwounds for your fretless..

This could also be a technique issue here.

Yea good point. Technique could be an issue. Perhaps your left hand may not be fretting hard enough, or your plucking technique might have to change to adapt to the flatwounds more mellow tone.
