Question Flatwounds OK for string-thru bridge?

Just got some fender flatwounds, put them on my 50's reissue fender pbass and am quite pleased. I want to put some on my jazz bass because i'm so happy but its an fender american std. w/ the string through bridge. Will this hurt the strings?
