I really love the look that red or black silk wrappings have on my bass.

Does anyone know who makes quality flatwounds with red or black silk?

Thanks

Bake any strings in an oven at 400 degrees F for 1/2 hour. Seriously.

Yes, but they are so much better if you add a bit of olive oil and parmesan to them first.

Seriously.

Picking strings based on silk color? That's one I've never heard.

Carvin.com has them for much cheaper but this gives a better description. I loved them on my fretless.

I pick my strings based on what socks I'm wearing so they match.

I know of a local who loves his DA Chromes, but dislikes the blue silk......so he uses a large black marker; looks OEM too!
