Flatwounds for Warwick Corvette $$

Appreciate advice on what folks with 5-string Corvette $$'s like for flatwounds...I would assume they would all have tapered b's....

Impression I got today from Customer Serv at Juststrings is that there is no such thing as a tapered B flat wound!?!?! Am I just barkin' up the wrong tree?

The only flat tapered B that I am aware of is the Sadowsky set you have found.

Let us know if you find a flatwound B that is truly decent, tapered or not. I have yet to find one. And have had spotty luck with compression wound and black nylon tapewound B strings as well.

Just placed the order...Roger Sadowsky answered my question about scale for the warwick vs std or XL....looks like it's XL. Nice folks....will let you know when I get the strings on! Thanks to all who vectored me toward Sadowsky.

Installed the Flatwounds

They are just great. I'm back to the hump-de-thump of flats. Smooth as silk. Play real nice. The G is a surprise...a little brighter than I expect and interesting, but not out of character with others. Best overall uniformity string-to-string I've seen on flats. Have used roto's in the past on my Dean and liked them...like these better. Tapered B .135T string went on without a hitch. Fits the warwick bridge perfectly. I used XL's for the Corvette $$...had lots to cut. I might order standards the next time. Issue is the B. I had the big B string starting to wind onto the post (about 1/2 turn).
