Fodera Anthony Jackson Signature Set

I've been playing for forty years, and i've never once considered changing my extremely light 6-string gauges to a thicker set, until recently.
I spent an afternoon last week with ancient friends Joey and Vinnie (and their great new partner, Jason) at the Fodera factory.. as a "try it and see" experiment, Joey installed a set of Anthony Jackson's signature exposed-cores on my '94 AJ 36", in Anthony's gauges, and the difference was.. instantaneous.

Touch, fundamental pitches, overtones, all profoundly enhanced... volume and depth like a church organ... tighter, more focused action across all octaves.. a real revelation.
The exposed cores require a different setup all around, but the sound is unlike anything I've heard from a string.

For mighty 6s, these are really both the crossroads and the last exit.

Love the AJ strings too- amazing and totally underrated. Digging them for both fretted and fretless on my MTDs. They cover the full tonal spectrum, and also maintain a solid fundamental - totally versatile for sure.

Add me to the list. I conducted a long search for strings for my F Bass BN5. These are so good to my ears that I don't mind paying for the extra string.

Joe, glad you hear you are digging the strings. I have played nickel my whole life but can't wait to hear these on my new Fodera. I hope they work for me.
