What set of strings you found best for the old Fodera Emperor Elite 5.

I use DR 0.40 - 100 on my Monarch 4.
I have just put Fodera strings - 0.45 on today. Now I will see how they works!

DR steel of nic?

I was using DR steel (lowrider)but it doesn't sound as good as it were doing on my other bass. It was better when I used nickle small gauge, 45-125 both from d'Adda and Fodera Diamond.

I am tring to get a steel version that is doing good but so far I can find any. Steel doesn't sound as good as nickel for this bass but it LAST and it is also important.

I've been using Fodera strings but will be trying some thomastik infeld strings soon.

On my old 6 with Lane Poors and HAZ preamp, the Fodera SS strings work well.
