Lt ga nickels. I played with them yesterday. It really changed the sound on my sadowsky, in a good way. Articulate and easy to play...too easy.
Great strings for a great price. I was predominately a flats player but I've found these to give me a little of everything tonaly. You can make up the other nuances with playing style. Very versatile. 1 bass for 1 show= happiness.

How are the Victor Wooten strings? I'm curious to try them even though they may be too light.

Fodera are on my list of strings to try someday. I see Jason has quite the selection and the best prices I could find.

They are similar to DR. They sound close when new, but when they settle in they are not as bright, but still have a very good settled in sound. If you want something similar to Hi Beams or Fat Beams but with a different kind of midrange character when settled in these are great strings. They have a singing quality that I kinda like. I'm talking about the stainless steel string sets so far, 34-130 and 28-120. Will be trying out the nickel sets soon as well.

Cool info. I'm gonna order the SS standards and see how they are. So far I'm loving the nickel light gauge. Again very good tone right out of the package. I've tried slap, finger, and pick and like them all
