Fresh as of yesterday

Got a bass guitar yesterday and I'm learning my scales and arpeggios. One thing i notice when i tune is that my Enote sounds weird. I think its the String clanking against the metal piece dividing the neck into frets. Is their something i can do to fix this or will wear n' tear do the trick?

it could be buzzing because your E string saddle on the bridge is set too low. you might want to take it back to where you got it, and ask for a professional setup. where they will adjust the trussrod, string and pickup heights, and intonate it with some new strings.

or If ya get a little allen wrench, you can raise that E string a little bit at the bridge and it should fix it.
