fretless5 string set

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi!
I'm just about to buy a new set of strings these days and recently I've realized that the strings I've been using on my fretless bass have been "biting" my bakelite fingerboard. I never did like too much the flat wound strings, so I thought of using the half wound ones, but I have no idea which brand is good and so if anyone's got any advice please help me decide. I use 5 string with low B. The sound I like is a bit vintage, closer to John Paul Jones then anyone else.

Not too sure if its the type of material thats on the string winding.
I dun find my strings eating up my ebony board as well.

If you still has it going to try roundwound strings for fretless. I recommend F Basses set. They are custom for George from La Bellas... really good fundamentals which IMO is really the best i've tried for fretless.
