Funk Rock strings

Sign in to disble this ad
anyone know some good strings for a funk rock type of music...
I play just enough slap that i need a string that sounds good slapping but I also do a lot of fingerstyle...no pick what so ever IMO picks are gay..thats just my opinion though...

so if anyone knows a sting that can give me a good slap and also some good fingerstyle that'd be great

please and thank you

i enjoy the DR MM fatbeams, they are low tension and have a good slap sound.

He recommended FAT beams, not flats. I would also recommend DR fatbeams, but I currently prefer DR HI-Beams.

i used to play a lot of funk-rock and found that my D'Addario EXL170s were a great fit. i don't like using a pick either, but if you want to see one used really well, just check out Anthony Jackson, i changed my opinion when i saw him playing live with a pick (i was about 8 feet in front of him).

peace
