G&L L2500 Rotsounds wont fit,***?

Sign in to disble this ad
I recently recieved my Tribute L2500 Caved Top.Wow!What a bass. After a week of playing around on the factory strings[d'addarios I think]
I wanted to see what my preferred set sounded like so i put on an old set of roto BS66s[just the top 4]They wouldn't fit in the ferrules through the bridge.
I'm would like to know from any G&L users what are my options,
for example any mods, wider ferrules[these 2 preferred] and if not what are my string options?

Thank You

The top four, meaning BEAD? Doesn't make any sense, otherwise.

I know that you mentioned Roto's as your string choice but maybe try Thomastik Super Alloys ? They fit on my last Trib L2500 - a lovely bass BTW. The SA's have the brite attack of a Roto Swingbass with (to my ear) a lot more body and last much longer for me...

I wanted to put GHS boomers on mine and got the same result. I changed over to DR Lowriders and have been a very happy camper ever since.
