G&L L2500 String Question

I seem to get a strange overtone on the B string (open B, C, C# & D). Is this normal or should I be looking for a higher tension B string? Of course tension may not be the issue. Thoughts?

The string may be twisted. Unwind it and then rewind it letting the string catch and wrap naturally around the tuning peg. If it is indeed a twisted string, this should solve it. Also, have you adjusted your pickup hight?
