G-string that is 42 or 43

Sign in to disble this ad
Folks,

Does anyone out there do a string set that goes something like 43 62 80 100 or the like - I seem to remember Nathan East, Billy Sheenan or Marcus Miller having a custom gauge set with the G and D being a tiny bit bigger than the norm. Do they still exist ?

Thanks

Bill

You can still get the Nathan East strings made by Elites but they are for 5 string. They are 47,67,85,105,130.

The Billy Sheehan rotos are 43,65,80,110 and are still available as well

The DR Marcus Miller strings come in more or less standard gauges.

Thomastik-infield made a 47,68,80,107 set called power bass.

Do you want heavier or lighter?

The Sheehan has a lighter G string.
The East has a heavier G string.
