| I had them on an old Yamaha fretless. Good quality, very nice mellow, almost upright-like tone. Quite low tension as tape-wounds tend to be, but they're pretty heavy guage so it's not too bad, in fact it probably adds to the tone. I preferred them to the Status tapewounds I tried which had a similar sound but were standard guage so just a bit too floppy. |
