Gauge Consideration D'Addario Flats

I currently have a set of ECB82 50-105 strings on my bass. I want to but another set of flatwounds but am considering the ECB81 45-100. What would be the pros and cons (in relation to tone) going one size lighter?

Its not really about pros and cons. Lighter strings usually have better articulation because there less boomy, but then again a lot of people love that low end thump thicker flats have. The tension will be lower and this will make it easier on your fingers and neck but some people like myself prefer stiffer strings. it's all about what you in this case wants to achive by going a gauge down.
