Sign in to disble this ad
This is a silly question but...

Like two years ago i got some flatwounds on my bass, but i dont remember what gauge. i really like the feel of them so when i get them replaced i want to get the same kind. is there anyway to tell from a .096 to a .100?

thanks

Might have better luck trying to determine the brand first ... any silk threads on the string? Both ends or just ball end? Once you know the brand, it'll be easier ... I'm not positive but I can't imagine any brand being available in both .96 and .100.

If you have blue silks on both ends, you probably have D'Addario Chromes which would be .100.

Get some of those. They are invaluable.
