I am looking for the same answer, I am either putting what fender puts on the geddy model or what Geddy Puts on his to use on my project bass....

If I find the answer, I'll post it

Nope: according to Fender.com's Spec sheet, the factory GL's come with the same gauges but with Fender's Nickel Plated Steel brand. I ASSume setting them up with Rotosounds would cost more for Fender, Geddy's cut, and to the customer at the end.

I honestly don't see a big deal should one arise - I've personally never kept the stock strings on a new bass I've purchased aside from my Yamaha RBX-775 which I find to be a great Steel string and have heard that Nashville vets have special ordered, they like them so much. Other than that, it's D'addario XL ProSteels (fretted), XL Nickels (fretless) and Chromes (flatwounds) immediately after a new bass arrives and I go through the setup/cleanup/restringing process.

I have a set of the Rotosounds setting here just waiting to go on the Geddy Clone Project bass.....I was not a big fan of the Rotosounds I had on my Peavey waaaay back in the day, but these may be different as they are different strings.... and .45 to .105 are good for me, though I really like the .45 to .100's on my Ash bass right now....
