GHS 3020 shortscale flats on a Fender Mustang?

Hey can someone who knows tell me whether or not GHS Precision Flatwounds 3020 (shortscale set) will fit on a Fender Mustang? The packaging says 30-31 inch scale but I think that's a tad too short, I dunno so if someone who has tried will tell me that'd be awesome. Thanks, -Jon.

The Mustang is short scale, isn't it? Should fit. I like the GHS strings, too.

you need strings for a 32" bass (because of the string through body). d'addario calls these "medium scale". i use chromes on my mustang and love them. good luck!

AH! Didn't know it was string-through. Yes, medium scale strings.

Also true of the Hofner Beatle-bass style short scale basses because of their using a floating bridge and tailpiece rather than a solid body bridge.
