GHS B52's...

...SUCK!

I put these on my SX Jazz and honestly I am not enjoying them one bit. I've been playing my SX for a few weeks now with these strings installed and thier brightness never seems to fade.

In fact they are very similar to the stock d'addarios the SX came with. Just with a slightly beefier guage.

If you are a pick bassist these will give you a pretty good bright metal tone with the right EQ settings. (Think Matt Walker from Pitiful Reign)

Power Slinkys are like a few bucks more and they are way better than these suckers!

This is my opinion on them because I play with flats.

I am just a bit frustrated because I just remembered I have another set of them. Why did I waste $40 on these haha!

So learn from me and PLEASE try strings before you cough up hard earned cash for them. In fact always try before you buy if possible!

In the search for the perfect strings, sometimes you hit something great. Then sometimes you get something that is..........not you. Experimentation does not come cheap with bass strings.
Aren't B52s made by Everly?
Well, at least you know for sure that flats are your thing. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
I have a set of flats on my SX and they sound great with them.

I play Blues, rock, country and I like the ghs B-52's. They are no longer in production so I purchased 3 sets for future use. I don't care at all for Rotosounds and many people love them.

I guess that's why there are options. To each his own.

Uhhhh... GHS claims that these are some of the brightest sounding strings they make (made?). Sounds like they got it right.
