GHS Bass Boomers Vs. D'Addario

Hello everybody, I have to change the strings to my bass and I don't know what strings buy, what strings would you choose for an Epiphone thunderbird, the GHS M3045 Bass Boomers Medium String or the D'Addario.
Oh I play with tapping and slap (a lot!) with my bass if that helps you

D'addario is great but for slapping there is way to much tension. Boomers have a great slap sound as well very bright yet they can sound warm fingerstyle. I go Boomers

Given the choice between GHS Bass Boomers Vs. D'Addario... I would choice D'Addario ten times before GHS Boomers. But then again, I would choose DR strings over D'Addario.

Exclamation

Although you're likely to get various opinions, there simply isn't any definitive answer to this - there are just too many variables.

Best advice I can give you is to begin the long-term process of trial and error. Sure, you'll occasionally buy a make/model that underperforms, just as you'll be pleasantly surprised from time to time. But ultimately, over time, the knowledge you gain from direct personal experience will prove far more valuable than any third-party opinions you could possibly get. I can guarantee you, the most knowledgeable TB cats gained their knowledge in exactly this way...

So take a leap of faith - and start experimenting!

I prefer Boomers.

I find GHS to have more tension than D'Addarios of equal guage. I also find GHS to be coarser.
