I curious about getting these strings because I happen to really like Taperwound strings. Just some questions, how long do these last and how do these compare to say Dean Markley SR2000's and DR Long necks?

I'm thinking about getting a set of the Contact Cores for my Ibanez BTB prestige, but I'm concerned about some things. Since the BTB isn't a string-thru-body style bass, will there be too much of the exposed core past the bridge resulting in some weird overtones on the B-string? Or that even an issue with these? The reason I ask is that I have tried the DR longnecks for six-string and apparently the taper-wound B and E strings were meant for a string-thru-body design and I could get them to intonate worth a crap! So anywho....if there is anyone out there who can help me, it would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks!
Jordan
