I can't answer your question directly but...
...from what I've read, many players find the tension on the Fenders to be higher than most. Also there are alot of comments here regarding tension where people don't bother to mention what guages they are actually using when comparing strings.
"Fenders are too tight!"
For me, tension is the single most important criteria when selecting bass strings.
I haven't tried the Fender flats, but Fender makes lighter sets than the 9050M. So if you like them and want less tension, you can change guages.
.055 - .105, 9050M
.050 - .100, 9050ML
.045 - .095, 9050L
I use Brite Flats on my basses. The .045 - .098 light set.
I can say for comparison sake, that these are simular to the .040 - .095 Chromes, slightly heavier than the .043 - .106 TI flats, and slightly lighter than the La Bella 760FL (La Bella has a lighter set 760XL). If that helps.
Maybe you can cross reference this info with what has been said about the Fender tensions in other posts.
Anyway, the GHS tensions are very even across the strings.
I find the string to string tensions on the La Bellas, TIs and D'Addario Chromes to be erratic. When that is the case, you can make up sets with singles. La Bella, D'Addario and Ernie Ball offer a full range of their flat single strings to create your own sets with. With TI, it's take it or leave it.
