Question GHS Precision Flats

Sign in to disble this ad
Anyone have any experience with these? I'm just curious as to the sound, feel and tension of these strings. I've been trying out a lot of flats lately and these have caught my attention. I'm looking for something similar to the Dean Markley flats, traditional and thumpy with a super smooth feel. From what i've read so far on these GHS Precision flats, they might be the way to go but first i'd like to see if anyone has anything else to say about them.

They are nice strings with a warm low end and nice mid range tone. They are not as bright as D'Addario Chromes, but still a very good flatwound.

These are probably my favorite type of flats. Very warm, very thumpy. I find them to be more balanced from string to string off the bat. With other types, such as LaBellas and D'Addarios, I found that the E (and usually A) string was nice and thumpy, but that D and G strings needed some time to mellow out to match the lower ones. I haven't found that to be the case with these.
