I just strung my Lakland with a 40-100 set of GHS Progressive. They are the brightest sounding non-SS strings I've ever used. In fact, they are as bright as Hi-Beams. I'll stick with the Progressive on the Lakland for a long time, I guess.

The biggest thing I recall not liking about the Progressives was the fact that they lost definition and started sounding a bit "woofy" as I played up higher on the fingerboard. That was too much of a negative for me, but I'm glad you enjoy them!
