Actually using a set of GHS Black Nylon Tapewounds on my fretted Jazz Bass and they sound great.

Warmer than roundwounds, of course. Nice upright sound too.

I happen to switch to my Gibson fretted with roundwounds for a more "grungy" sound (1 year olds) but these GHS are really worth the money if you re into jazz, pop, rock.

I have been using GHS Brite Flats on my solid body basses for years. Maybe I'm just used to the sound, but I like it along with the feel.
