GHS super steels 6string, C string wrecked?

i have the named strings on my neuser 6. i use bendings on the c and g strings once in a while. the c string outer winding is gone above most frets. is that normal? fret surface is super smooth.

i don't expect the C to last very long, and it rattles more than before because of the wire hanging from it.
