Does any body use these? What kind of tone do they have? What's the string tension comparable to?
Thanks in advance

Ihave had an interest in these too, but so far have not received any info on them and cannot even find a review on them. I may bite the bullet on them and try them out. I do seem to remember someone saying they were lower tension like the Fender tapes (9120).

I run them exclusively as they're the thinnest tapes (diameter) avaiable.

Tension -- have no way to measure..

Sound --- I sincerly can't hear a difference in sound between tapes.

You Know, There are alot of different brands out there. There ought to be a sight built where you could here a sound sample from any string. Rotosound has a nice sight but dont have sound samples for all the bass strings. I been looking at the Nexus strings also. Its really the gauge that is a problem for me. I can get strings, but I dont want to have a major set up done. Nut filing and the such.
I also heard of a Wyre tapewound but have had little luck finding more info on them.
Anyway......

Check this out for some sound samples using GHS tape wounds:

I'm not using them now, but still like the strings. I've had 4 and 5 string sets. Tension is hard to describe but I will say that the B string on a 34" scale bass is not floppy.
