Gibson "Observer" strings

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi all,
I came across some Gibson strings the other day in my local music strore. They were sorta hidden in the back probably because they dont sell. The shop owner said he's had them since the late 80's and would sell the 5 or so sets to me cheap if I wanted them. The brand is Gibson "The observer" (thats what the pack says on it). I have no idea if there any good and can't find any info on the web. The specific ones are flats gauge 50,62,80,100. Any body familiar with them? Has anybody ever used them? Any good?
Thanx
Mario.

I've played Gibson strings before, they're pretty good. Like you, they were hidden in the back of the string rack of the local store. I payed something like $8 a pack for 10 packs of roundwounds.
