Give me some string recommendations...

Basically I am simply looking for a new set of strings to better suit my needs.

I am not looking for anything too specific, but I want:
- Something that gives a punchy but not thin sound.
- Compliments a growly Bass/Amp tone.
- Nothing too thick, probably a medium gauge.
- Something with a noticeably rough feel to them.

And if it is worth anything, I really like to dig in as well as pluck with force. I also use a pick on occasion.

Thanks in advance.

DR "Lo riders" or "Hi Beams" are very popular strings. Personally, I use the stainless ones and would recommend them to others. Lo riders will feel slightly stiffer

+1 I have a very strong right (plucking) hand style and these work great for me. I switched from Slinky mediums a while back and never looked back. I use the Lo Riders.

Do these Lo-Riders come in 5-string packs as well?

Big +1 for Lo-Riders. They definitely come in 5'er packs in both Stainless Steel and Nickel, and with a .125 or .130 low B
