Hs anyone tried this strings?
If so.
Are they good for slap and hard rock?
I have a gig coming up and I would like to have my
Funk self set to 10. Lol
I got my eyes on the neon dr hands green strings.
I figured that would be cool.

| | | | Been playing the DR green neons for about a yr now. Really like them sound wise and looks wise. Only string to impress me as much sound wise as rotosound swing66. Had them on 3 basses to date. Another warlock, an eagle, and my paulo warlock. Only got the latter now.
The neons are kewl looking on their own. Sound fantastic. And have a bit longer life then the rotosound swing 66 I used before pretty much exclusively. The Dr neons being the only string I like as much as the rotos.
Ive got rotos on my bass now. But a couple more pkgs of the neons in the closet. They'll get used for 4 and half to 5 and half months each set sometime over the next yr and half or so.
Longest Ive had a set of neons on a bass at a time so far has been about 5 and half months. They still sounded good, but had gone a little bit past freshly broken in sound to me and where starting to lose a little bit of the top end detail they have new. No signs of color wear off from 100% pick use during that time
Cost wise they cost more to buy initally. But longer lifespan I think evens out the cost for yearly string maintanance. May leven ower the yearly cost for some users a fair degree.
