Good 32" scale flats ???

Sign in to disble this ad
I have several medium scale basses, and would like to put flats on at least one. It seems that the only medium length flats I find are RotoSound.

Any opinion on the RS flats?

Any other 32" flats out there that I should look for?

D'Addario Chromes come in a 32" set. Very nice strings, on the bright side for flats.

La Bella makes medium sets. Great flatwound old school sound.

If you have a bass with very small tuner pegs, like the Hofner violin basses have, the La Bella 760HBB set is the very best choice. This is what I have on my Ibanez ARTB100 short scale bass that needs 32" strings.

Chromes and TI Flats are my favorite flats.

Ah, yes. I forgot about the TI JF324 set. Another excellent choice.

rotosound 77s in short scale are a great option. good finger feel (if you like a bit more tack than labellas) and some crispness that is sometimes missing from short scale flats
