Good for Pick-Play?

Sign in to disble this ad
i hate to do this but ive searched and "pick" leads me to threads where people say "out of these 3 sets pick the best one" ect ect ect

so my question is :
what strings are good for mainly pick-play?

i do use my fingers a lot but when i get ones that sound good with fingers it sounds horrible picked

they will go on a G&L L2000 tribute

thanks for your time

Hah. I just bought a G&L L2000 Tribute on ebay. Awesome guitar.

I know Justin Chancellor of Tool uses a pick almost exclusively. AFAIK He uses Ernie Ball strings. I picked up a few packs of Ernie Ball power slinkies. I'll let you know how that goes, once I get my amp set up. For what it's worth, I think the strings that came on my G&L sound good already with a pick.

I use Rotosound SM66's on my Ric, great pick tone. Although, I want to try something new.
